Are you saying you want to hike a biking trail in reverse to see where it starts? Of course you can do that. Just watch out for bikers if it's the day time. Also if the trail is on private property you need to ensure you have permission to be there...

I hike my bike up certain local trails. But they are stunt trails and I like to check things out, or thats atleast my excuse. I just hate the death march.

It appears freak has been busy. Reading the local paper I see that a Josh M of Pitt Meadows (can't be to many in the small town) is presenting a proposal to the city for a DJ and MTB skills park. Good job Josh and if you need help I am sure that I can get the FVMBA to help you out with "red tape" and everything. I will also, as a MTB coaching business owner, give you support in any way I can to help. If the city needs to see businesses and local numbers from our coaching then I can provide those.
I pm'ed you a contact for the FVMBA who was very instrumental in the development of the city DJ park in Chilliwack.
Again, good job.

I was in the pitt meadows/ MR times too. Well, me and my buddys. The odd thing is though, i dont understand how thepapers found out. I and two friends just made a presentation to the city, the day after we where doing two interviews and pictures. Its pretty cool though, i guess the more publicity the better, well in this case. I dont have much confidence in the idea though, it seems that it was proposed a couple years back. Than again, it says that there looking to build an outdoor youth activity centre. Well, whatever, we'll see what happens, i havent gotten a real interesting responce, more of a just keep trying, takes time, sort of what i expected.

On a lighter note Im done taking about anb hours worth of notes for a revised " bike park proposal 2.0 " thats more specific to the park, its benefits, whats there etc. etc. Anyone done this before... Ill make a different thread on it.

Try slowing the fuck down when you meet people on the trail. Or even stopping and letting them go by. They have the right of way.
If they hollered at you, you can bet that you were moving pretty fast and didn't respect their space. The fact that you've gotten it 3 times means that your'e riding like an ass. I ride out there LOTS, and get nothing but smiles and polite conversation from other users (...and don't think I'm riding like a pussy either).
If you give folks plenty of warning, you can still hit whatever move you're trying to pull, and they'll probably give you applause instead of abuse.

Well said.
I think too many riders forget that the uphill traffic always has the right of way, don't matter if it's on a bike specific trail or multi use trail.

TOLD!
As for Eagle, yeah becuase there's less traffic up there I don't trust that I can just roll up to a stunt and assume it's good to go because it's not blocked off. If a tree falls on something and breaks it there's a good chance you're gonna be the first one to come upon it... Of course the hike-a-bike is only possible on 4LS - Dentist. FB, and the MT (etc) routes are impossible to hike-a-bike so standard shore safety rules apply for look before you leap (the fact that this is coming from me is hilarious, since I regularly flow these trails without scoping a single thing - yet another reason for you guys to scope first - you may see my corpse laying on some recent deadfall and you can take my bike - just tell my wife what happened please)...
