Hey Islanders and beyond... :woot:
We're happy to launch a new website for mountain biking on Vancouver Island. Comox Valley Mountain Biking (www.cvmtb.com) is a new source for everything riding related in the Comox Valley and around the Island.
Sign up is free and once you are part of the riding community you will have access to our Forums, Photo Galleries, Links, Trail Maps and more. Be sure to check back as we provide new reviews, riding information and feature articles. We hope to become a resource for people from and those wishing to come mountain biking in the Comox Valley.

My idea was to bring together more information on the mid-island - The guys from victoria on those other sites were happy to see a new site for trails around Cumberland, Forbidden and Mount Washington. Anyone on the island is welcome

Unfortunate news - More of the lower trails on Forbidden are in risk of being taken out by logging - new roads are being pushed through - ride it while you can!

Where did you hear about the logging? Is there a way to find out some more specific information, like dates and stuff?

Flagging has been up for a while now - since the spring I think - the worst was half way Rudy's I could hear the grinding and banging noises of an excavator working away. Going up soon to get some photos and details on where it is.
The final was to see a big bulldozer running back and forth rebuilding the road bed of what was the old boston main. Inactive for probably 40 years?

Is Rudy still the main builder for Forbidden/Comox Lake or have others starting building there?

Just an update - we've started working on trail reviews / route info / elevation profiles.
