Well heres an update for all you shed heads... It looks like the trail nazi has maybe done us a favor this time. I talked to Brett at the shed bike club and he had a long talk with a Delta Police officer last night.
It turns out the officer in question is a rider.... who loves the shed... who likes the stunts... who is taking the fact that the trail nazi has set stuff up to try and hurt someone VERY seriously and a file has been opened.:D

So things are looking fairly bright all round cuz ol' nazi man has pissed off everyone now, riders,parks people,and THE MAN.;)

I suppose if this nice officer gets involved with the trail days it means no more early morning:smokey: 8) :thepimp: but I think we can live with that:D :D :D

That was me. :D If you guys had of dragged your asses out of bed and gone riding earlier, like the 10:00 am of the origional post I would have been riding w ya. Instead I made up and posted the warning signs about the trail nazi.

Well peeps it looks like things are starting to heat up at the old shed.
I decided to head in this morning to try to fix up some of the damage done by the trail nazi. I parked at Pinewood and hiked in with my little day pack and my big dog. When I got back to my truck I noticed someone had scratched DIE in the paint of my box.by the drivers side tail light.:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
Now I can't say for sure that it happened while I was in the shed but I'm pretty positive I would have noticed it if it was there before I left home:rolleyes:
So I will be talking to constable Cardinal this evening of the wonderful DPD to report it.. I will keep you all posted as to developments.

Well I'm there a lot and I do have an nsmb sticker on my back window, I'm sure if it was the nazi he has seen me coming abnd going to walk and ride. The frame for the jump after the drop is done and the posts for the tranny are in place. We were all there slaving away. It might be hard to get speed for the jump but we can say for sure until it's finished. I might be in the shed on Sunday if i don't have too much homework. :cool:

If speed is a problem, it might be a good idea to move the tranny for the stairway drop out a couple feet so instead of a drop it's more of a step-down and it would make it easier to carry more speed, personally i think having it a step-down would make it flow better and it would smoooothen everything out. Just my 2 cents

Yeah that's what we were thinking of doing, but we were too tired to do it that day. That would be much nicer if we could, but it may take some work. Oh well It might have to be done.

Well peeps I went in to the shed again this morning and finished fixing up the damage to bender. Both the left turn wheelie drop and the straight through huck to the burm are both right tight and solid again as of 10:00 am this morning:)
And hey what do you know my truck wasn't damaged this time:rolleyes: I will say that the group of nice jogger ladies that I asked " did you see anything " were shocked at what had happened and think the biking in the park is just fine. ...It must be lonely being a trail nazi with no friends and no one who agrees with you;)

Level 5 is still ruined, I was gonna start on it but Brett and jeff said they want to do it so it should be back up by the end of the weekend. They said they would be in to fix it today or sunday.

I think we should all be really careful when were riding still and CHECK EVERYTHING before you hit it. I know it's a drag but it beats a trip to the hospital.

It is the extention to the beginning of bender, it had the little 4" wide skinny coming off the bank to a ugly rooten log, to a gap to some more skinny twisty log ladder log etc. mmmmm level 5 is fuuun. :D

i have just started to try log rides/ladders and go off small jumps on the trail but im freaking scared of ever doing a drop. Im just scared about landing with my wheel crooked.
And my problem with going on log rides is i cant get off my bike very easily if im gonna bail.
I really would like a nice dry day and some guys to give me some tips on how to do this stuff.

i'm a beginner, biggest drop is probably curb, but i cant get my rear to leave the ground. When i jump the curb, i pull up, and the front would get a little air, but my rear stay glued to ground.

Hey bruiser,

Apologies for not calling you on Sunday, as Dawn told you I was taking Mark out for his first ride. Didn't call because I knew it would be a slowwwwwwwww ride and I didn't hit up the usual trails. We did more of an XC ride so Mark could get the feel of his bike. He made me proud though, he did the G-bowl, the ridge run, rolled the tables, and the mini bowl up top near the ridge. Not bad for a guy who hasn't ridden a bike in years. :clap:

Looks good :) , I dug a huge trench at the beginning of Stairway on Sunday evening to get rid of the huge puddle. It just needs some wood framing. The ladder that runs over the trench needs a few more rungs and needs to be secured to some posts so nobody can just toss it out of the way. Until next Sunday. :cool:

Mike, Erik and crew. I like where you have the jump now on stairway, it's looks a lot more inviting. I have a suggestion, were you planning to fill it with dirt cuz it would be easier and look cooler (imo) if you just runged it with heavey ladder rungs really close together. If you added 2 more logs that went from half way up the ones now out another 6 feet so it was sort of curved it would be just like a wooden dirt jump. If that doesn't sound too confusing:???: Anyway just a thought:) cuz the air supply jumps are done that way and they seem to work fine. Not that I have ever hit them:rolleyes: :o

mike before ya kick eric's ass ,i think he means holes around where the first gap jump was going and now has been mooved.those drainage ditches at the start of stairway are a good idea as it will get rid of all that mud and water.i think that what he means.......but if i'm wrong .....well........kick his ass;) :eek:

I ran into Mike and the crew last week as I was overseeing trail maintainance in the shed:P and I made the suggestion that they did something about the puddle in front of the ladder at the begining of Stairway. I think a bit of a trench (ditch) would be good along that whole connecting trail from the goats to stairway, nothing crazy, just like the little section that was worked on last trail day IMO

I can't wait for the trail day on Saturday so everyone is on the same page
