Happy New Years shed heads! I was actually in the Shed yesterday with Mr Ripper from this here BB and it was prime! Chris aka Mr Ripper loved the Shed :D
Al the lower simons log hip gapper is a fun creation even though I didnt hit it or the stepdown gap you made. And is that wall ride looking thing just a barrier after stepdown or is there future plans to make it into a wall ride since it could be done even though I dont think Delta would like it.

I just got back from a quick little spin in there myself and I must say these cold clear mornings make for perfect riding conditions:D Just like summer only cooler:thepimp:
The wall ride looking thing is really just there as a noob catcher in case someone F's up the top drop. So no it wasn't planned as a wall ride... maybe in the future...
The log hip gap is easy... but you have to pull up pretty hard cuz the bouncy log kicks up your back wheel a bit.
When you hit the step down hit it really slow and just give the front end a little burp... too much speed and the wall come at you fast.;) The second drop below it is no problem thouigh cuz the tranny is so long.
Anyway glad you like it.

Glad you had fun.
Unfortunately we can't go to big on the stunts so we were trying to go high technical with low/moderate consequences. So the log rides are all low but challenging.
There will be some bigger drops going in in the near future but we wanted to get the trail ridable all the way through with easyer/intermediate line done first... it makes us look better with the parks peeps.
The final goal is to have multiple lines in a lot of places so you can hit smaller or bigger stuff and do the trail a couple times hitting different stuff.

That would have been me.:D I snuck in for a 45 minute rip around noon in between all the other shit I had to do. I got fresh tracks on all of the stunts pretty much. Didn't do all of goats, but got pretty much everything else... I wanted to hit the new drops at the botom but i was on my own and figured it was probably a bad idea.

Killer rip on fromme today:D the snow on the fire road was packed hard enough that we rode to the fifth no problem. Pushed a few more minutes and put down fresh tracks on espresso, cut over to the last bit of upper cripler and then hiked up to boundry. Someone had ridden cripler ahead of us but we put down freshies on all of boundry. SWEEEET RIDE:thepimp:

managed to sneak into the shed for a semi-dry rip between the rains. Taco'ed the rear wheel on the xc bike, a lil too aggressive i guess, or just not smooth enuff.
anyhow, this week would be a great chance to work on some drainage issues in there. There are some trails that are becoming creeks, and a lil redirection of the flow would do wonders.

The Shed bike club executive and friends will be riding rain or shine at 11:00 am at pinewood
your headset is probably done but you might be able to get away with just repacking it with fresh grease. Not sure what new bearings will cost but you can get a whole new head set for less than $50

Yes it's a new option... just after you get onto to log there is a little drop off the side of the log ( to the riders right ) a short swoop through to a little kicker gaps you over the easy down ramp exit log to the dirt roll down off of it ... if that makes sense. :D

new variation to the bouncy log jump, on simons?? I dont know the names, im the local who isnt really a local anymore. :P
and there is a fun little gap jump down the trail from the bouncy log kicker.
yeah it's pretty fun, i just tried it out today, great work in there. I just wish is was a bit bigger. Bigger berms and make the jumps big, but like large doubles so it's still safe. I'm just worried that the berm after the first jump doesn't turn into a mub pit one day

I thought the concensus at the meeting was to keep it mostly natural and just " enhance " it a little. If you want bigger thats doable:D

Back in its former glory I visited the shed once.... It was one of my first "real" rides, and certainly my first experience with stunts. My riding buddies were hitting them all, and my eyes were opened to what could be done to a trail, and on a bike.
One of the sickest lines I saw ridden that day (I walked it myself :P) was one they referred to as 'Disneyland', because it was like something from an amusement park.
Shortly after, I found this pic on pinkbike and photoshopped the text then emailed it to my riding buddies. I was stoked to come back and hone my Shedi skills. Unfortunately, before that was possible the chainsaws came in and took everything out :(

I can include them. I actually didnt think about that but hey, I'll probably be trying some new brakes of some sort so I wont need them.
I should state that the black/rear mags lever is minorly bent lever but conversely (sales pitch) has new pads.
And your 250 will be just fine with 8" rotors - just need a new apaptor which I dont have.. I have been running 8" rotors on my hardtail for 3 years now I think. Its just a matter of whether you can feather the brakes or hit the eject button ;)

yah I wanna go riding.
for some reason I've been snowboarding 4 times this year and it doesnt really bother me at all. I would just rather ride my bikecycle on the mountians instead

King and Dolph got owned on Sat with a double shuttle of Cypress, that mountain is the great humbler when you've only been riding the Shed for so long and you're tired. Needless to say the second shuttle was a bad idea. No injuries or bike damage just a bruised ego. OUCH!!!!!!

Indeed Cypes can own one n all at any point in time. Its got me each time I've been on it.
What happened King?
And I blame your 888 crowns cuz they're not gold yet :P

Werd shogun, gold crowns will certainly make the difference, front end was soooooooo high and hard to steer, but i'll blame most all the carnage on my own noobness and the attempt to ride a 8 foot vertical rockface didn't help either. oh well the GOLD will be in soon.
