chad, fixed some of the tranny on stairway, we couldnt find the bucket so we used a slurpee cups, and he did his best to fix it!

I am seriously thinking that the old ladder run in to the big pier be torn up and turned into a quality bridge across the creek. The drop trail is kinda done.. I think it should be just decommisioned and let return to an xc decent. Even if we rebuild it the drainage problems will always be there....Discuss

I don't think the drop trail is done at all. Just before it got torn apart i think the drainage was in good shape, maybe just a few touch ups but all in all, it looked good when we had the water re-routed. The sheds been incomplete without that the trail cause of it's speed and flow

I guess if we had a BIG group of peeps out and re-did it top to bottom all at once... but it's always had so many different lines , it needs to be rebuilt so that there are two definate lines. We need to have one solid line that has the hits on it and one solid xc line. Laying it out so that they can both flow and not end up mud pits will take a lot of planning and a TON of work. We are looking at days of work with a large crew. If we are going to re build it we have to deal with the drainage problems properly top to bottom. Personally I think to do it right will be a bigger job than any of us really wants to tackle. I spent dozens of hours trying to deal with the drainage problems over just 20-30' of trail and it still isn't really that good. I don't know where we would get enough rock, gravel and wood to do the job without digging huge pits for gravel and packing tons of rocks in from who knows where. The biggest problem is that it is a gully and all the water flows into and down it as well as water from above seeping through the ground and popping up as springs in the bottom.
Personally I don't think it is worth the effort to fix and the ongoing maintenance will be a bitch.

After that trail day where the runin to the super pier was all redone and stuff, but the water was seeping through, after you fixed that up the drop trail was in uber shape, even though it was rainy season, so i think it's not bad. And the water only starts seeping through the ground about half way down, under the tree that's right in the middle, out its roots. Then there's only about 30ft or so till it widens where the peirs were that will take some hard thinking, but the bottom's nice cause it's soo wide.

I think that the trail between the goats and stairway needs more work, but all it needs is a ditch on the right (high) side all along, like the one little section just after the little hip, but that might mean getting rid of that hip:( but if that's what it's gonna take to fix that trail then so be it

For you youngin's xc stands for cross country... this is a style of riding where you cover long distances both climbing and decending and generally avoid drops,jumps, and other man made obstacles in favor of riding flowing smooth single track trails.:P

The bridge is falling apart, has big holes in it and was made from old shitty pallet material ( I know I built it but it was only meant as a temporary bridge )

There used to be a hip on the drop trail so if it gets rebuilt we can put it back in

It's not 100% yet... the zig zag line isn't finished and it needs a little more tlc in the way of dirt at the on ramp and a brace under the ladder after the swivel teeter but it is fully ridable. Fair warning, there are going to be spots where it will be VERY tight for your bars :D :P :D so have fun:thepimp:

No problem simon:D happy to have it back in the loop. I gave it a little more tlc this morning and will be finishing the zig zag line monday morning. I managed to clean it a few times today ( I had to make sure it was all good ;) ) and it seems to be all good. The up and over for the new log that fell across between the speed bump and the up to the teeter is now the hardest part in my opinion. I think the zig zag line will make the first section pretty nasty once it's done though:P :D :cool: Then a little dirt work on the on ramp and off ramp and it will be back to 100%...then it's on to the next project:rolleyes:

In other news the shed rocked today, cold but dry and traction was full on. I have'nt cleaned the up and over on slapper for a while cuz it's been so wet but today it was no problem:thepimp: It's funny but I managed to hit the first drop on 6 seconds so slow today that I felt every rung on the ladder with my back tire:lol: I didn't think I was going that slow.

Hopefully tomorrow won't be too snowy cuz I think I'll be shedding it again:thepimp:

the new improved djs are: first one same length as before pretty much but a little higher I think and the tranny is higher and the lip is built up. The second one is the same as before I just put the box back in ( it might be a couple inches higher) and I put some fresh dirt on the tranny. ythe last one over the log has fresh dirt as well

If you hit it from the step up you can only go slow and it's like 6' or 6'6" if you back up the bank and just coast in and hit it you can make 8 or maybe even 9:D
When Bluekey hit it the first time he actually cranked into it and almost landed it flat and he probably dropped about 9'. He crashed on the run out though:eek: :clap: :lol: He said he didn't like hitting drop slow cuz he worried about keeping the front end up:rolleyes: that was the least of his worries :D

I just got back from the shed and i was working on the connector trail from goats to stairway, now it looks good and there's still alot more to do (i did about a 20ft section). It's just that the trail is kinda soupy there so it'll dry hopefully in a couple of days at the most. So if someone could let me know how it's drying in the next few days that'd be great:D

I just love how my work goes... last friday they said no work monday... tueday one shift... wednesday two shifts the rest of the week and maybe saturday as well cuz " we have orders that are cut off :eek: "... thursday it's " we're starting 2 hours eary friday ( thats 4:00 am boys we usually start at 6 ) so both shifts can put in 10 hours and we really need you guys to work two shifts saturday as well " we are really behind here"... today at 10:00 am " were going home at 12:30 ( thats 8 hours ) we got the order deadline pushed back till the 18th and we won't need anyone to work saturday either" AND THEY EXPECT US TO BE ABLE TO PLAN TO DO STUFF LIKE DOCTORS ETC OUTSIDE WORK HOURS :???: :???: :??? yes. stokes used to be rad until they tore everything down to develop it. used to have a shit load of built stuff like swivel teeters and drops and shit.

edit: i was there about 2 months ago and unless they rebuilt again there will be no stunts to ride. it is an awesome ride around for very mild XC.
