I'm from Duncan and I'm going to school at UVic, a friend of mine and I are wondering where the trails are in vic here, can any body tell me? I usually ride mt tzouhalem and mt prevost at home so if there is anything similar, thats basically what I'm looking for.
if this is in the wrong section I assume It'll get moved

Hartland is probably the only place relatively near UVic. It's maybe a 20 minute drive away. Aside from that, you either have to goto Sooke, or back to Duncan. There isn't too much in the city.

around the city is cool, as long as I can put my bike on the front of a bus and get out there, I've heard of hartland, how exactly do you get there?

^^^Post on the forum here ^^^^ and maybe someone can show you around Broom Hill or Harbourview.
I lived in Vic for a couple of years and just went up to Duncan to ride whenever I got the chance, although the dump does have afew gems that you can link up for a pretty fun ride. Hartland maps are available at Ryders (Cloverdale and Quadra) Russ Hayes (Lower Hillside), and probably any other shop you stumble across.
Have fun, the season runs for 12 months on the South Island.

Best places for now would be Hartland ( the dump) and Sooke ( Broom Hill) Basically every shop in vic should know about both of these places.
There are other things around in vic that are better.. You will eventually find them!
