As I rescently became aware, some kids around parkgate found a bike on their street about 1.5 months ago, and none of them have a BB account, so nothing was posted on here. However, they did hang posters around the area and got no replies. If you have lost(?!?!?) your bike PM me with a description, and a meeting to reclaim it can be set up. This may be a good thread to sticky, too.

maybe give some hint as to what type of bike. someone on here might know the owner and would be able to tell them about it.

The bike is a Cannondale dually.

Just pointing out the obvious, did you check the Stolen bike board?

The default view only shows posts from the last month, but there are lots more there, unfortunately.

No I did not as I don't exactly have the time to do it right now. I want the owner to come forward if they want their bike back.

Yeah, because, you know, every single person that owns a bike in the lower mainland checks nsmb.

I bet nobody who's had their bike stolen or any of their friends/relatives/aquaintances check it either. I mean if your mountain bike is stolen, what would be the stupidest place to check for info? The bulletin boards, of course!

so are these kids waiting so that if no one claims the bike they can keep it. Why not just turn it over to the police? If someone has a bike stolen the first person they are going to call is the police, well maybe they would post it on NSMB.com first :P

Did you call the police to let them know you've recovered a potentially stolen bike?

I didn't recover anything; I just saw the kids riding around on this "found" bike. Since they are not troublemakers or thieves, I'm not going to report them to the police directly. I suggested it to them to take the bike to the police, and they seemed to agree with it. The only reason I'm involved in this is because none of them have a BB account to post on here.
