Do they scan negatives ? Do you use some special type of scanner ? Any stores that can do it good ? Thanks

If you're in Vancouver ABCphoto does a bang up job. Scanners with negative slides are fairly common, and pretty well priced.

Almost all photo labs will give you scans on a cd for like 5 bucks, but the quality is reallly lacking.

If you just bought a normal camera and are going to want to have a lot of photos on your computer then personally, I would buy a scanner and learn how to do it well, however maybe it is cheaper to bring them in...

ABC is hit or miss. I've had tons of prints from them that have some weird blurryness to them and have had to have them re-scanned a number of times. I think that they have a vibration problem either from the road outside or some other source that adversly effects the quality of their scans.

You need an Eversmart scanner. They take wonderful slide and film scans. (http://www.plotterprice.co.uk/index.php?option=com_phpshop&page=shop.browse&category_id=184&Itemid=6)

Firstly, this is the post i was referring too
Almost all photo labs will give you scans on a cd for like 5 bucks, but the quality is reallly lacking.
Secondly, where does it say anything about negatives in this post.
And finally, universe and allshockedup, dont post in my threads if your just going to put something totally useless and stupid. Im out to find information with this thread, not to get it deleted. Now step off.

Three posts up. The one where he says that negative scanners are cheap. Please tell me that you are capable of retaining that information long enough to still remember it when you read that next post.
