the bike feels really really nice. i didnt feel like i needed any more travel. the bike is nice and short and feels easy to control and it wants to pop off of stuff. like my tonic fallguy on crack. i deffinatly need to replace my brakes. i think i'm going to pick up a set of 06 magura louise for it. i would have been deffinately going faster if i knew i can slow down quicker and whenever i want. first day-first race. had a little friendly go-at-it with a fellow rider. a heated race. 4 years of street vs 1 year of DH. 4.51 - 5.02. won a few bills on my first day - good times:) great day. great bike. 38lbs on the dot - hopefuly 36 once i got it the way i want it.

this is my first fully ever, and that was my first day on it, so i dont really have anything to compare it to - besides my tonic fab fallguy that i use for street/park.
but i must say this bike feels pretty light and quick to point in any direction you want. i was able to pick the front up with minimal effort - short toptube and short chainstays helped. hopping over rocks/bumps/roots was easy and effortless.
the whole bike, all the piviots and everything else just feels very very solid.
i would have had a even better experience if my brakes functioned properly and the crappy kona DH pedals i was running were'nt missing half the pins.
i bottomed out the fork only once, when i cased a double/big roller thingie pretty severely. never bottomed the rear.

great bike.
hopefuly will be back to the mountains in a week, and will be able to report even more on how it rides.

ha! good luck!
its been so long since i've owned a bike i can just raise the seat on, throw it into a easy gear, sit back and pedal - this bike is fun. I LIKE.
