I would love to know as well. My personal best is 3:20.

Who ran that? During the rediculously priced Comfortably Numb race that costs $50?

That race makes me mad. They charge so much! There's barely any infrastructure needed, just a bus to shuttle people to Wedge, and a handfull of volunteers at that one lookout. What are we paying for? The fact that it's in Whister?

Arughhhh!

James Crowe - somewhere around 2:30 or so. Jonny - that's pretty damn fast

Holy smokes. Is that including North Secret & the crap at the end that takes you into Lost Lake?

Foreplay? I heard that was called Secret at one point too.

I think with CN, it's losing it's own identity! But I still like riding it.

Also, what's the length of the trail?

I struggled to finish it on my bike in 4 hours. I ran it in 3.

Thanks Lee. That was on my Heckler with 7" forks and DH tires on a hot dry day in June, so I think I can do better.

2:30 is very impressive. I would love try again on an XC bike, just for fun.

Its 23 km from Wedgemount north trailhead to the Lost Lake south trailhead. I normally ride from the ski hill parking lots to north trailhead so that adds 12km distance for a total of 35km. I've never ridden it hard - leisurely pace with stops and pictures etc is about 6 hours total. I doubt I could crack 3 hours johnny from N to S trailhead but someday I suppose we could try.

The north loop at wedgemount is called Young Lust. Used to be called North Secret before the connector from N to S was built. The N to S connector including the south end downhills is called Comfortably Numb. But everyone calls the whole trail Comfortably Numb. The south end downhills is what used to be called Secret Trail - and is now called Foreplay - a bit of a mocking name since a lot of people rode that trail as an out and back before Chris completed the connector. The reason for so many names is that the trail was built in pieces starting with Secret trail/Foreplay around 2002-3 or so iirc.

OK, so jonny, where are you starting your clock?

A group of us did it a couple weeks ago, started at the skateboard park by Lost Lake and got back to the Brewhouse in 6:30. I think once every 2 years is enough for me.

Although I rode up form the skiing parking lot, I started my clock at the proper trail head (Secret trail north) and stopped it when I popped out of Foreplay. That's the trail as far as I'm concerned. The ride up and the ride from the end of foreplay to the parking lot doesn't count.

That trail is so awsome. The middle part is so surreal it makes all the hard work totally worth it.

One day soon this year or early next, need to hit this.

Difficult to find by just following Whistler trail Maps?

Comparing my Test of Metal and Gearjammer times to guys like Neal Kindree I figure that a mountain biker will be close to 2:00. I find the climb quite flowy and rarely grind to a crawl, and the downhill fast (but maybe not as fast as the best trail runners who seem to bound down tech downhills like deer faster than all but World Cup DHers). It might even be faster to do it backwards
