Does anyone know if its possible to fit a non-E-type front mech to a Gemini?
I have an '04 2000 with an XT E-type mech and dual chainrings. I'm trying to fit a dual ring chainguide (actually the cheap "dirt" one from NS sports swap), but it has the wrong chainline if fitted outboard of the mech, and interferes with the mech if i try to fit it behind. I can't even open out the hole and mount direct to the ISCG mounts as it still clashes with the small screw whcih stops the mech rotating.
Anyone found a way round this? Looks like a top-swing mech might go.
