Are you kidding me? I never liked liver when I was a kid! My mom use to make me eat it until the whole question of eating the impurities that are conatined in the liver.
Holy man people will eat anything!
I ate black pudding when I was in England... well saying that I ate it is a wee bit missleading. I chewed it for about 3 seconds and when I thought it tasted like blood... I couldn't finish it! Then my buddy let me in on what it was!
Never again!
The meal in the picture looked good!
But I'll pass... thanks!

Foie gras, French for "fatty liver," is made from the grotesquely enlarged livers of male ducks and geese. The birds are kept in tiny wire cages or packed into sheds. Pipes are repeatedly shoved down the birds' throats, and up to 4 pounds of grain and fat are pumped into their stomachs two or three times every day. The pipes puncture many birds' throats, sometimes causing the animals to bleed to death. This cruel procedure causes the birds' livers to become diseased and swell to up to 10 times their normal size. Many birds become too sick to stand up. The birds who survive the force-feeding are killed, and their livers are sold for foie gras
It's supposed to be really fricken good though.

Duck liver
yeah actually it's "fatty" duck or goose liver.
from wiki.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e5/Gavage.jpg/180px-Gavage.jpg\
Many contend the method of feeding the geese and ducks to be cruel. Force feeding results in unnatural effects on the birds' bodies including livers swollen to many times their normal size, impaired liver function, expansion of the abdomen making it difficult for birds to walk, and death if the force feeding is continued. In addition, force feeding methods can cause scarring of the esophagus. They use the term gavage, a French term for stuffed feeding (and a medical term for feeding those who can't feed themselves). After political pressure from organizations lobbying for animal rights, certain jurisdictions have banned gavage.
not cool.

It is one of the most amazing tastes in the world. Whatever they do to the duck is fine by me, the taste is worth it!

Do you eat chicken eggs? Well, they're cooped up in a little cage and forced to lay eggs everyday. How is that any less torture?
Do you eat cows.. or any farmed animal for that matter?
If you answered yes to any of those, you're a hypocrite.

They are just random highlights. That meal, we had something like 16 plates of sushi between two people.
