08-22-2006, 12:11 AM
dorados are some of the nicest forks... but yes... the X WORKS Models... thos are the ones that never worked well :)
Im not happy with it. the intergraded stem needs to have shims so I can use tha tinsted of stock stem. it is lighter tho. 3 1/2 lbs lighter.
They are famous dorados... so I think ill hit some big drops.

Holy crap, fuck, I cant even afford dorados on my DH bike, and he puts them on his cruiser, wtf? Ross, you going to take that to the laddy park sometime soon?

..that must be why they were discontinued and why parts are so hard to get.
The decals worked ok though.

Do I smell a Hint of jelousy ? :) Whats so bad about Dorados ?
Rosscofat
08-22-2006, 12:30 AM
umm dorados were made to 2005... the flick was one of the best forks made.. and its not made anymore.... we have 2003 dorados comin in and goin back out for another year of abuse... parts hard to come by? you must be lookin in the wrong bin.. cuz there is LOTS OF PARTS. :)
Corey. u gotta know your stuff before u say that.. Ive never heard anyone of my buddys get told that they dont have parts for the fork... and even if they dont.. we take care of em with other ways.

shoulda kept the green front rim on
Chunk
08-22-2006, 12:42 AM
shoulda kept the green front rim on The original wheel wouldnt fit on the dorado. He said it was a half assed job anyways. Im sure the green rim will eventualy find it way back on the bike :)
PS-- That is SICK. Would a black leather brooks saddle look good on there i wonder? The exsisting seat is cool, but a little bit busy looking IMHO

08-22-2006, 12:50 AM
noice.. see I told you that headtube looked long. can you run a shorter stack headset in there? The only person I've seen with green Dorados was a Berrecloth, is that where they came from? yeah, 03 Dorados are probably the best feeling/looking fork ever made.

send that picture to the maker of the cruiser.
they'll get a good laugh..
so, why??
Nelson
08-22-2006, 02:02 AM
Why? Cause he can? It looks cool. It's a $4000 fork? Why do people have carbon fibre hoods on civics? Why do people put spinners on SUV's?
Rosscofat
08-22-2006, 08:45 AM
why not is the answer. I work at a job...
i have a stem ontop... today im gunna cut the steer get shims for the intergraded and then do few more things to it.. I need to buy a new headset.
It is Ryans old fork.

Haha, Ross, You are too funny, there is a certain freedom to living out on your own you know. I like how you tossed in light bulbs in the list of things you need for a house.
$$Chris*Ko$$
08-22-2006, 11:22 PM
hes being reasonable, or unreasonable as some might think. I just likes excuses to stay young hahahaha... Ross, you totally need some sort of spinners for that bike.. try machining a hub with a spinner in the middle. it'd be easy.
Rosscofat
08-22-2006, 11:28 PM
thinkin of getting thos spinners for 24" wheels. already ontop of it.
Light bulbs cost money.. so do other small things that add up. everything takes thos important pennies outta your pocket. so longer I stay @ home longer I save thos important pennies.. I dont blow every paycheck fully on bikes 150/200$ goes into annother account for that day when I move out.. Im wayyy above what i need but why not keep goin.
