I had a grate day at whistler today. This morning I almost fell down the ravine on Hart of Darkness. and this afternoon a landed on my front wheel on the top of a jump on aline, and fell all the way to the bottom, I tore some shit in my foot and broke some little chunks of bone off.

Watch that jump on the lower half of aline, just after you go under the bridge. It’s got a funny kick to it now.

also watch the step down on the biker cross, it's not a step down eny more, it's just a very steep hill.

the cracks in my frame got a little bigger today.

I ate it at bikercross... its the one after taht sudden huge downhill and right up the jump., i think its... 5th or 7th jump on biker cross.. theres main well i guess main clean huge table and berm and steep downhill and up the jump.... which ISNT that big.. so i dont think that huge steep run down was necessary.. I didnt realize how small that jump was.. and over shot.. landed nose heavy almost on flat land. That gave me... bruised left knee.. sprained ankle, wrist, scratches up chest and lower back and..... some bruise sort of pain on right thigh.

Sucks about all the bad luck. I fell riding the C-Wall and hurt my foot. Gonna get it checked out tomorrow if the pain doesn't decrease...

Just a tip about the table after the bridge on Lower A-Line, the table is better if pass it on the left. On the center it's sucks, I saw again an accident on this table this morning.

i had a great day at whistler - no crashes! - despite feeling really tired due to two laps of burke on sat.

saw ross (how's the shock? ;) ), heard rumors of nelson, ran into another group of riders i know, but other than that the mountain was pretty freakin dead for a weekend. no idea why, but it was sure nice.

My pal crashed on that A-Line jump today too; back end kicked up and he went over the bars - he's a good rider and has been riding Whistler BP for years, so it's a bit unusual for him to crash like that. While he sat there sorting himself out for ten minutes we saw another guy have the same accident... and a few others have some pretty close shaves. Definitely something gone weird on that take-off!

haha i almost stacked up on that table too today, but i somehow rode it out. the corner before it takes away all your speed, too loose inside, chunderfest outside.

i know exactly what it's like
i've almost fallen down the ravine on HoD, and always have my sketchiest near-bails on that aline jump

last time i did an accidental no footer to nose manual landing and somehow didn't crash

I went up yesterday, after reading about this table I went for it.. rode the centre line as always and man... my ass got handed to me. I think there is a hole in the take off up so when your back tire hits it, the rear shock forces the tire into the hole causing your ass end to fire up and over your head! I managed to land... however shaddy... but crap!

I blew the seals on my fork though... rode No Joke for the last time...

Probably the last time that I am going to be riding Whistler for a month... moving, parents coming, other guests, and personal responsibilities!

Until the long weekend in October!

Cheers!

ya that table after you go under the bridge on a-line has a big pothole in the center of the lip, broke my arm after nosing off that just a few days ago, hiked up there the other day and noticed the pothole so i watched people go off it for a while. just hit it to the side of the lip and it looks fine but everyone i saw go off the middle of the lip (atleast like 15 people in 10 minutes) almost bailed. also heard lots of stories of people getting hurt on it, surprised the trail guys dont go up there and patch it

I rode it over and over the last few days. Seems fine to me. Just position yourself for the kick.

ya, at the time i hadnt been up to whistler since cranworx and it was the first run of the day so i wasnt aware of the rut in the lip, and with the way the light falls on that part of the trail it is sorta of hard to see it so i had no idea
i just got flung over the bars, almost did a front flip. doesnt help that i was going fast and tired extra hard to preload that jump because before the rut was there that jump never really boosted me enough

Aline is taking quite the beating eh? I can't seem to get enough speed to do that one with the bridge right before it, the lip is getting pretty mangled as well.

The one I saw take a guy yesterday was the first jump on the Aline drop work around, I think he cased it and went over, then hit a rock, he was pretty badly winded and was kinda out of it for a good 5 minutes.

No crashes for me though :)
