Stubs does it, but stubs is crazy. You should be fine, just stay off the GLCs and youd be good as gold.

i've heard crank it up, b-line and heart of darkness sound like good options for you.

without front brakes,
the trails he's been riding arent that intense,
he'll be the judge of that though.

Just noticed the no front haha.
Throw a Vbrake on the rear, and put the disk up front.

I think you would be ok, but would you really have fun?
10 hours of solid riding at whistler is tough on the body. With the big rental bike you'll be able to go bigger, get more runs in, and won't need 1/2 a bottle of advil to get out of bed the next day.
I'd rent if I were you.

yeah... im leaning away from doing it... also I do have a front brake but its broken..... yaaaahhhhh... Im going to see if I can find a bike that I can borrow. I think I know someone who would let me borrow a norco atomic... at least it has a DC hydros and knobbies.. thanks for the advice and I think I probly COULD do it. But I would be beat especailly having to work the hole next week. pce
Ride the whole hill on a hardtail, and don't worry about it. They are trails. It's a bike. Fuckin' give 'er.
I've spent days on end at Whis on my hardtail and it's fine. Good times.

Yea, I rode hardtail at Whistler for a couple years with a season's pass and it was awesome. Go, especially if you've never been before. SO worth it.
If it weren't for the braking ruts, the hardtail would be preferred.
Singlespeed is the best way to go, cuz then your derailleur won't beat itself to death.

I think he has answered his own question here:
I rode knobgobbler and timekiller on a HT similir to this and it wasnt THAT bad but I defintaly was sore after.
A single trip down sumas makes him sore and he's considering a whole day at whistler?!!
Rent or borrow.

Rent or borrow.
Yah thats problably the best bet for him. Even after a full day at whislter on a 7-6 bike i was tired and sore-ish.

its not too bad on a HT. I tried my 243 up there just to see and it was OK. Riding w/o a front brake might suck for steeper trails though

Rent, your body will thank you for it AND you will have a lot more fun.
Riding is suppose to be fun, maximize it by renting a full squish.

Rent.
I rode an A-line for a renty early in the season. Loved it so much, I bought one.
Like riding on a plush couch. :)

As long as you got some good knobbies your hardtail will be fine. It is somewhat restricting, but you can go to the dirtjumps after!
