Thought I would share the first long day of bike time my fiance did here in hot TO.

For her first long day on the bike I planned it to be road with several some stops with AC. The Humidex was up to 45 or something like it yesterday. I didn't want her to dehydrate and all that.

Left the house at 10:30 and rode to the subway. Pausing a few times while she worked on her getting her front wheel over some curbs. She is slowly getting better.

Took the subway to Danforth for lunch and coffee. With a bit of walking around.

Got back on the subway to head home, stopped at the Chapters to hang out and cool off. Rode to the mall half way home to pick up bread and stuff. Got home at about 7:30pm.

Only went a total of 18km roughly, for Joley this is a big deal as she has never ridden this far especially in this heat.

She is right now stuffing her face with Brushetta and water. I'm going to be busy in about an hour playing the role Soigneur for her.

That's awesome. You are an awesome guy to encourage her so well and treat her so thoughtfully.

It only appears thoughtfull. It's all part of my selfish diabolicol evil conspiracy to ensure a constant flow of bike gear and less probs when I buy my next frame.:P

Actually I'm encouraging her to ride, it gives us one we can do together once a week that doesn't involve other things.

In 2 weeks we are staying in Horseshoe and going to Blue where she will get a lesson to get some fresh input into her skill learning.

I've even just showed her her new bike part, a bash guard. Next item, arm armour for blue.

Already crashed hard. Remember she is ex national team, Joely dove into stands several times chasing balls while with the volleyball team.
