Would really appreciate help on this---I hear there's great XC riding in Merritt, but where and how do I get to the trails?

You can buy a map at MEC. Highly recommended.

Yeah, merritt is it for xc.
rode 5 days out there july 1 weekend.
check out lundbom lake area for nice camping and easy xc type stuff.
Coutlee plateau area is also pretty sweet. Carlito's way and Ziggy are not to be missed! more fun swoopy flow stuff.
navigation can be difficult due to cow braiding and the numerous uncharted dirt bike trails. bring your exploring cap and have some fun there's some sweet singletrack out there.

That's essentially just it....you can ride anywhere you want:) Sure, specific trails are cool, but the way we are set up here in the Interior...XC is a total free-for-all. 100% freedom Baby:D
