Pedal problem, help please

I noticed that one of my pedals is starting to wiggle, and theres some metal shavings coming off where its threaded into the crank arm. I tried to tighten it down but it wouldn't. I then tried to take it off but it actually tighted up and became stuck once i had it half way removed.

Has this happened to any of you? Did you have to drill it out?
Was it just your pedal that was screwed or did you need a whole new crank arm?
Has anyone had a crank arm re-threaded?

sounds like a crossthreded pedal insert to me? new crank arm is needed by the sounds of it!

^ Yeah man that is what it sounds like... the metal shavings are never a good sign... kind of like blood!

New cranks. Is it the left or the right? lefts are usually available as spares...
