anyone have any good or bad stories/thoughts about them?
thinking about picking up a pair to replace one set of my 4 year old trailkings.
i love atomlab pedals but i'm thinking about trying something different and these pedals have been on my mind since they came out.

I'm running Shimano DX platforms on one bike and Atomlab Trailkings on the other.

I've got about 1.5 years on the Shimano DX pedals. They are light, have good grip, a nice concave shape to them, and are low in profile. The pins are tiny. Replace the small pins with the larger ones right away and loctite them in. The pin threads seem to get damaged easily. Overall, one of my all time favourite pedals.

I just got a set of Trailkings about two months ago. They are physically larger in surface area, have more grip, and seem to have larger pins than the Shimano DX's. They share a similar low profile feel. Overall, I find the trailkings are slightly better than the DX's. I can't comment on long term durability as two months of summer riding conditions is hardly a long term test.

If you've gotten four years out of your Trailkings, you should stick with them. I find both pedals to have an expensive MRSP. I was lucky and got a very good deal on the Trailkings.
