membership has its privileges. 15 riders, 190 cans of beer and 1 keg of beer drank. Plus we also had Red Bull, water, coke etc etc.

Thanks for the kind words!
I like to have these articles up on the Tuesday after the event but with AIRprentice this weekend it just wasn't happening. Too much going on right now.
Please let me know where we aren't hitting the mark for our articles as well. We're lucky to have our bb denizens as a resource and we're interested in what you have to say - the positive and the negative. If you see any typos or errors I'd like to hear about those as well - that's something we take very seriously.
Thanks again to the Shuttlewhores for inviting me into the fold and congrats to everyone who rode the Triple Crown - no matter how you did it.
Big props again to the vollies who run the show. Great work one and all. Sharon Bader gets the lion's share of credit for the event running smoothly and James came up with the crazy idea in the first place. Without them there would be no Triple Crown.

no because i can read.
I knew the day was going to be in question when some of the whores had finished 3-4 beers before even leaving the old buck parking lot.
I had a hard time catching up at the last minute after finishing the registration.

No shit, we had traffic blocked off on the road to let the riders through out of the Old Buck parking lot, half the team started the Seymour climb - beer in hand.
Sidenote...people had a fantastic time without drinking too! Lets not get the image out there that it's a drinking contest only.

Cam,
As usual: comprehensive, entertaining, and funny (I've got to stop reading your stuff in the office). Thanks for that!!!

true that.
it's just that beer makes the climbs go by a lot faster and with less pain!

hmmm maybe see if TSW can do the sea to ski route while on the beer fuel?
Great write up Cam. Amazing event. Can't wait for next years.
Sadly there are no more kick ass Ripper events to look forward to for the rest of the season.

Another reason why I miss Vancouver. The Triple Crown is exactly the kind of ride I'd love to do. Great read too Cam - you make it taste so delisiously salty.

Ahh the triple crown. What a great ride. Like last year's Ripper article suggested, you definitely earn "much bragging rights" for doing that ride. I love the look on visitor's faces when they try to comprehend my ride description while driving over the Second Narrows bridge: "We started over there(pointing to base of Seymour), pedalled up that mountain to that radio tower, then rode down, then pedalled across the base of that mountain (Lynn Peaks), then up to that hump (pointing to Fromme), then down, then all the way over to that mountain over there (Cypress), and then down to the water and back to the bike shop." The first reply has always been, "By bike???"
Maybe next years ripper could include a couple of mega-enduro rides...

Yeah I read that just after I posted my last post. That's unfortunate. Couldn't make it last year and now it seems I'll have to wait till next year to get my chance...
