The other night I was riding at polson and some guy, mid 20's maybe, comes up to me and asks if he can ride my bike. I just gave him a funny look and kept on riding. Immediately after he goes to the other side of the park and sits down next to this kid and steals his ipod out of his pocket and walks off, the kid couldn't have done much to stop him cuz this guy was quite abit bigger.

Any idea's on what do in situtions like this???
We went looking for him about 5 mins after he walked off, not sure what we were going to do, but we couldn't find him anyway. Skateboard to the back of the head might be a bit much, and the cops can't really do much after it's happened.

I live 10 min. from Vernon, I work and ride in Vernon, the bad drug scene
and crime is getting very bad in town. It's especially bad at night, just try and
stay clear of the bad areas near downtown at night and travel in groups if posssible. It's unfortunate that a small city has come to this.

And to make it worse the cops have a new policy that they don't come
out to petty stuff anymore.

skateboard to the back of the head actually sounds about right to me. But ya never know who you're messing with. Not to sound like your dad but you could wind up dead if you confront the wrong guy. And then you'll have eternity to imagine him riding home on your bike listening to some itunes
