Gargamel Saturday. Appaling 4x4 shuttle up branch of Cougar FSR (gate at the bottom of the "regular" road was locked. I was the shuttle driver, and thus avoided the 4 hour hell-ride. I went to do the first section of Comfortably Numb instead. Back in time for Elevation and numerous beers,
Tenquille Lake Sunday. Managed to shuttle all the way up to the hike a bike (1200m), then we all proceeded to overheat en route to T Lake. Descent was 1300m of singletrack goodness. Decided not to wait for the shuttle cars, so pounded back 23KM TDF style to Pemberton in blast furnace temperatures.
GPS route available to anyone that needs it for this highly recommended ride.

Could you ride across the scree sections on the descent?
Tenquille is a great ride!

I was REALLY disappointed with that site.
But they are a non-profit, just like NSMBA.
But www.nsmba.bc.ca is a great site! (although needs more pictures)

posted by Shirk: Woooo the Boler bump. I gained my points to move into Jr Elite xc category there in 93. It was about 7 laps up and down that bump, crappy course. I feel very sad for those who only had that to ride :(

sharon - do you mean the huge boulder field? If so NO WAY!! There was a smaller scree field which most walked, I proudly rode it (I had walked most of the way up there)
Bugs weren't bad at all, it was 30+ though!

happy feet in that cold water!
Lee went in...
too much head on that beer though!
That would be a tough climb in +30 heat... Good think there are some small creeks along the way...

I made it half way across the scree field. Don't remember another boulder field unless that's the one you mean. There were numerous trees down and long sections that were completely overgrown so you had to be careful not to miss a turn and go off the side.
