I have an old flash of my dad's that I've been using for a while now (Vivitar auto thyristor 283) that is straight out of the stone age, but works perfectly fine. I've been wondering if there is some cheap type of slave set up that would allow me to use that flash remotely. (cheap being under $50)

Any ideas?

what chump said. it's right ghetto but it works. a flash chord will be fine... if you're moving on to a wireless system it'd cost you a lot, like 500$ for a receiver and transmitter a lot
