Looks like I may have to get some new armour for Joely. Anyone here used the Beast gear armour? I'm looking at the leg and arm don't need the jacket.

Yes I have both the leg and arm armour from BeatGear, I like it a lot, tough as nails, comfortable and stays in place.

Trying out some new fox leg armour at the moment, which seams very good value at about 79 bucks from BSP. Also has quick snap in straps. My wife is getting my BeastGear which is still in good shape after 2 years of heavy use.

i have beastgear legs, 2yrs old, and i just broke the kneecap piece today :( sure saved my knee though. i love the hardshell knee cover, and i've never had an issue with them shifting around.

i have the open wrap back fwiw

Most comfortable elbow/arm pads I have owned in fact I have driven my truck home after rides a few times and forgot I even had them on and there also tough as nails.

I have Beastgear legs (the ones that give you coverage on the backs of your calves - essential for novice riders!) and its freakin' great!

I have the beastgear legs and really like them, I only have a few minor complaints about them. One is that I have 'cankles', you know, no real ankle, just calf, then foot. . . come on some of you ladies know what I'm talking about ;) Anyway, the 'ankle' strap on the pads that I have seems to be pretty tight, I'm thinking they are built for girls with ankles, not cankles. My only other complaint is that the guy at the bike store talked me out of the full back ones and the strap behind the knee rubs a little after a day of riding at whistler. Other than that they are really good.

Would the leg backings from MEC work with the Beastgear leg pads?
I use those backings on my Roach leg guards because they came backless too, and they work like a charm.
I'll show you next time we ride together :)

Maybe you can get that ankle strap lengthened by adding some material.

Actually, you can take it into any shoe repair type place (where they have the industrial sewing machines) and they should be able to lengthen your ankle strap no problem.

With my Roach leg guards, the size that fit the length of my legs had straps that were all too tight to go around my legs. So a friend of ours told us he had the same problem and had taken his to a local shoe repair shop and they added extensions to his straps. I did the same and now they fit perfectly :)

Cool, I'll have to check into both of those adjustments, it sounds like they should work. Wow, could there be a day when I have nothing to complain about with my gear. . .
