I just wanted to say how much I appreciatte the Whistler Bike Park. If it didn't exist I probably wouldn't be getting married. If we hadn't ridden together in the park, I don't think we'd be together now (Theres no use dating someone let alone marrying them if they can't ride :P )

It'll be the perfect place for the honeymoon!:P

Yeah, when I was guiding out there last season 2 of our guests got married at the top of a-line then rode the trail down together followed by freidns and family... perfect!... not so sure the mother-in-law approved tho!

was fun!

I hope you have a great wedding and lead a happy life!

Thanks everyone,

Ya I remember seeing that wedding in the Pique newspaper. Now I wish I was going to have the ceremony in the bike park. No dress and heels, just a bike and riding gear: Thats the best way to do it!

I hadn't missed a Crankworx/Joyride since it's inception until last summer when my wedding was on the same weekend and we had to miss it (my wife isn't so much into the riding, but LOVEs watching the slopestyle).

The good thing is that so long as they don't change the date too much, I'll always have a place to go for our anniversary, and a good reminder of when my anni is coming up :D

Fungle, Apeshape & Gerewhore: Anniversary party in whistler this summer!!(sorry for making you miss the last one).

That is great... It is great to meet other people with other interests... but your significant other should enjoy what you do!

Cheers!

I think people should give DH bikes to each other instead of silly rings.

Nothing says I Love You like 9 inches in the rear!

Congrats!

We spent out 1st anniversary at WPB, and it was my wife's choice!

In fact every summer vacation we have is planned around where we are riding.

Hi,
I'm not still married but I met my girlfriend because of the Whistler Bike park.
2005, I went to Whistler for the first time in my life (I live on the French Riviera) to ride in the best place in the world :)
After this trip, I told me that I have to improve my English :)
So I subscribed on a Language exchange website to find people to discuss in English. So just before Christmas 2005 I began to discuss with my girlfriend on the internet (who was not my girlfriend at this time). In August 2006, I met her for real in Vancouver and we are together since February 2007 :)
So yeah, I met my soul mate because of Whistler :))))

And I'm very very happy...

Back in Whistler in August 2007 :)

My wife & I don't have much in common. We are not much alike at all, but 17 years & 2 kids later, life is good. (She doesn't ride at all.)

When I lived in Whistler, my experience was that there are about 2 or 3 girls in the whole liftline, and every one of them has a gaggle of dudes clustered around.

Everyone's jockeying for a chance with a mtb chick!
