Saw the G3 saw in the recent issue of Bike. They suggest it as a light packable trail saw. I thought it was only for slab testing.

Conduct snow analysis using the Bonesaw alone, or extend the handle by attaching it to ski poles or probes with the polyurethane straps and use it as a shelter building tool.

sounds like its for snow analysis. id only ever pack a folding saw any ways.
