First prize for amature racers was a scott nitrus DH bike worth at least $3500.
First prize for pro racers was $5000...Pro men winner also won side contests--came home with at least $6000 in cash and prizes.

Great pictures, awesome colour too. Was the person in the fourth picture, that was on a hardtail, doing the downhill race?

Maybe....those pictures were taken on the "phanton drop" sort of like our whistler glc drop only not. The guy on the hardtail was on the jump line called lower dominion. Nice pics, I'm pissed I couldn't make it this weekend I'm an hour and a half away....

YES! I was still having AF problems...i need to sort it out...phantom drop pics, i didnt know when a rider was coming = my cam is heavy so i got tired holding it after a while. i need a mono pod and maybe a umbrella to keep me outa the baking sun. it was reall all a matter of comfort the prevented me from getting some better shots.
