Hey there folks,

I am heading up to Whistler in mid-July of this year......last year was my first time ever and I will continue to come back until I can no longer ride a bike. Anyway, the reason I am writing this is to get folks opinions on the trail Train Wreck......I am thinking about hitting that trail one afternoon after a day on the mountain and just wanted to see if people think the trail is worth it. The pics of hucking off the train cars sure look like fun but would like the opinions of anyone who has ridden the thing. Thanks much and see ya in July.

I've never chucked myself off the stunts in tre, but they're in good shape....don't expect the whole first half to be there though, the part on the highway side of the tracks...it's slated for clearing for the highway widening/realignment.....

Train Wreck is one of my favourite trails in town. Not sure how many people hit the boxcar stunts - they're not really apart of the trail so much as set up in the same vicinity as the trail. Some look cool, others look like they've never been hit.

top it off with the high speed riverside/farside trails to get your mojo back!

We did that route last year around this time, a nice few hours of fun. I was surprise to see all those stunts in an otherwise xc singletrack trail network.

the one loonie race lee and I did two years ago started at the bridge near the road to the dump, down farside (other side of the river?), up riverside (whistler side of the river?), up to tunnel vision, up kadenwood, down Big Timber.

I was behind ? Lamont on the moots soft tail most of the way until we got to Tunnel Vision when I passed her on the descent! I passed a few big bikes heading up Kadenwood... and let them pass me on Big Timber...

I guess that route is all good to go now?

Since the muni paved the trail from loggers lake its a pretty fun rip now!

the one loonie race lee and I did two years ago was Up the road, down farside (south of river?), up riverside (north of river?)...

I believe that 'Farside' is on the Whistler mountain side of the river, and 'Riverside' is on the Blacktusk side of the river.

...down Big Timber...

I still need to do Big Timber some time. I wasn't sure whether it was a fun trail or just a descent on a cat track from the winter. I had a chance once on the tail end of a ride with Lee, but by that stage my legs & lungs were no longer talking to me.
