JH days suckin'.....

Has anyone gone to the JH days this year? I went on the thursday and it sucked! There wasn't anything there practically, and there was no comp. The only deal they had this year was an axiom pump, normally $20, on for $8. I enjoyed last year with the comp and the boxes and boxes of cheap stuff. Does anyone else agree with me?

John Henry Days - the main things went on Saturday to Sunday. When I went on Friday exhibitors were still setting up.

How could you possibly take off time to go on Thursday? I thought with your reputation as a super employee there was no way your busy schedule would allow you the time?

Disagree. There weren't as many boxes of blowout parts, but still plenty of bargains to be had. Picked up a fistful of riding glasses and a pair of carbon road shoes for $40 (that usually list at over $250).

I heard they had some 888 RC2X for $1200 and a Bullit for $800. If this is true, pretty darn good deals, IMO.

I went to JH on saturday and watched someone case the wood landing twice on back to back backflip attempts. My diagnosis is that the rain made it suck. Got some lock on grips, but I got home to find out the f00kin bolts are missing! gotta go down and pick those up sometime.... argh. Cut my old grips off too, so now I can't ride till I go back to John Henrys.

Check inside the grips (if you haven't already). That's where they usually put them.

i have bought 2 different sets of grip from 2 different shops and both times there has been no bolts

Jh days did not suck....there just wasn't anything u wanted there cause u already have everything. Movies, compnoents, clothing, forks, bikes were all on sale. WHAT DID U EXPECT!!!! everything to be free

LOL - everything that was new and current was discounted. Apparently what people really want is the $h!t that couldnt be sold at anywhere near rrp, rather than good stuff with a discount....

Why no one picked up the 888 rc2x for $1300 i can't get, or Travids triple ti for $1200? Oh well... maybe it'll be "better" next year.
