For the money it looks like a great way to get some evening riding in during the week (when it's harder to posie up). To anyone involved what's the riding schedule like for the two clubs? Does anyone have an opinion about which one is better?

I joined Pedals and pints last year and will likely do so again this year.

It was the first time I've been part of an organized ride and I was really impressed. The Ride leaders are very friendly and there was a real range of skillsets.
I also liked the beer and food discounts at the pub after, and the many nights Norco or Rocky Mountiain would come out with their marketing people.
I know JH has been doing the clubs for a few years now whereas I believe the Cove club is realitively new. ( I could be wrong on this)

I haven't checked out the cove bike club but if I had the time I would look at doing both.

JH is well organized, and offers ANY level of riding. It's the way to go, although the groups get fairly large (10+ riders unless you join the pedal up group) Thus it's a slow ride usually, except for the fast and furious ride.

How can you turn down the Pints part? Mmmmm beer.

I believe Cove Club is starting back up soon. It will have 2 shuttled rides this year, shop discounts, club t-shirt, insuarance and the odd pro rider appearance.

I did pretty much every ride last year and the pace is pretty good. I would say its for intermediate to advanced riders, but no one ever gets left behind.

I now reguarly ride with people I met through the club so its been good for me. My riding has also improved 420%.

What trails do you do with the Cove Club?

We mostly shuttle Seymour so: CBC, Pingu, Pangor, Boogie, Ned's, Dale's, Severed on occasions.

Fromme we hit Upper Oil, Lower Oil, Ladies Only, Expresso, Pipeline, 7th.

We've also done a Cypress shuttle, and this year we're looking at hitting the woodlot.

A bunch of us reguarly head to Whistler, so there's always someone to ride with their too.
