WEll, my bothers camera shoots at 10.3 mp, but that was shot on normal setting, which i think is still 10mp i am not to sure. But as for the megapixels, i don't think the human eye can diferenciate past 12mp.

a 6.1mp camera will take images that are 3008 pixels by 2000.

a 10.3mp camera will take images that are 3872 pixels by 2592.

That's all megapixels mean, the size of the image. That and a higher MP camera will show more flaws in the lense, like when bighitter and jerry rig mount their shitty sigmas and take some pics.
