I would like bike-specific advice on treating and living with a couple of lingering problems. Vancouver locations preferred! :)

Unfortunatly most doctors that would be any good to you will need a referral from your family doc, they are hard to get in and see. You likely want to see a sports med doc. I would suggest that you talk to your family doc and see what he/she says. If you want a couple of names pm me, I know a couple of the best sports med guys on the North Shore.

You may also want to work with a good physiotherapist or chiropractor. They can do wonders for nagging injuries. I can give you some contacts there as well.

Dr John Rideout on Hastings street in burnaby is a excellent GP with a sports minded bent.

I will happily give you my 2 cents anytime.

I was just going to say PT-Colin on these boards is a Physio that I've heard some people recommend. Not too sure, but I think he's partial sponsored/close with NSMB?

But speak of the devil...

He's been my doctor since the day I was born... He's good with diagnosing/understanding bike injuries, not that I've had too many (knock on wood).

Great guy though... always has good MTB mags, and ski mags in the waiting rooms.

Dr. Shamira Rahim , shes a chiropractor she specializes in weight lifting injuries, but also she knows alot about cycling injuries, she worked on my back for a while when i went out there and shes great. Her office is on Broadway in vancouver.

Dr.Harawig , another chriopractor and his office is located in Peninsula village in South Surrey, hes also very good and he mtn bikes a bit him self. so he know exactly what kind of injuries we're faced with.
