Hey Chiquitas.
I'm throwing a party for myself (tehehe) and would like to invite the nsmb ladies to come out. Check the main nsmb page for details....
But here's somemore:
I'm racing for the COVE this year, and they've decided to help out and send me to some of the World Cups (RAD!!). I'm super stoked and thankful!! I really want to put together a full World Cup season and have commited to myself to do that. I've been racing for 4 years, all almost completely in Canada... and I think I need to step outside, and push myself .... you dont know how far you can go without taking the first step I guess. Canada Cups and the few World events I've done have been a great warm up.
Check out www.danikadh.com for a brief resume
This fundraiser is to help get me to all of the races, and cover all the extra expenses, I'm sure you can all imagine exist when you race.
It'll be a great time so come on out!! I have some awesome pals who are making homemade/fresh spanish tapas.... I tried them last week and they are killer!
Again details on the nsmb homepage.
RSVP me please, I need to create a guest list at the minimum, but realistically people will need tickets before showing up (liquor rules...) so I am arranging to have a guest list at the door,
and tickets will be available at Cove as of this weekend on....
ANY questions, comments, people willing to help out at the party
feel free to email me at
danikaschroeter@shaw.ca
thanks so much and see you soon :)

good luck Danika - Its great you are going to a full World Cup season - I look forward to hearing your race reports - if I am in town I will come to your party for sure - ( Its been a while since I have stopped in to visit my folks- this seems like a good reason)

I'll be there; i think that i should be the Sangria distributor. I have to be careful 'cause i race first thing the next morning. Maybe i should just be ready for my race that night. Yeah, it's time trial, so i'll be in a skin suit and a TT helmet ready to go!!! Is that a Spanish twist enough for you Rams??

Hmmm I'm more imagining you at the door with a red blanket yelling TORO! but maybe that's later in the night.... after the sangria
mind you wouldnt need sangria to act like that... muhaha
Seriously can I advertise that you'll be there in a skin suit? ... I think that will bring in a few more people.
BTW I'm working on collecting all the swag I'll make posts when I sure of what I have... although I'm getting a lil jealous that I'll be giving this stuff away.

Sangria is a wine drink (for summer - with fruit and other stuff in it ... not quite sure, my spanish friend is in control of that one!).
And then after sangria and tapas (7 pm-ish $25) people can come in for Beer (kegs) and tunes (DJ)... (10 pm-ish $10)
So YES there most def will be alcohol, it is NOT a byob, bc of liquor license rules...

#1: Supporting fellow female riders/racers should be reason enough.

#2: I met her again at the twoonie-race in Vedder last Sunday (which was my first mtb race of any kind), and she was both encouraging and supportive, offering me invaluable advice.

#3: I overheard her say to her boy that they should donate more money to the FVMBA (the dudes that put on the Redneck-Rumble), even though they already paid their race entry fee AND not to mention the girl's needs to raise some HUGE funds to race!!! I thought that was pretty cool and she obviously loves the sport and supports it in any way she can.

My girl and I will be there and she posted the info on our Muddbunnies site and another site for local riders BCMTBRiders (another yahoo group), and we'll be sure to tell everyone we can.

So hope to see a lot of you girls from NSMB. This is a great chance to support a fantastic rider and an opportunity to network with other female riders out there.

See you there!!
