springs from different manufacturers are interchangeable as long as the springs' properties/dimensions are suited for the particular shock.

Well thats the question isn't it, I know it will work but will it fit????

I think what he is implying is that a straight answer cant be given without knowing the specific spring, and shock you are planning on interchanging.
Its not quite as simple as giving us 2 model names and asking if it can be done. it depends on stroke and eye to eye and other crap like that.

10-4 Chunk.
in the end, it's just a spring. another question you should be asking is "does a ti spring have different properties than a steel spring with similar length, weight rating, pitch, torque, bowing or lateral deflection properties, torque properties, coils, etc.?"
just because it may "look the same" and "fit", doesn't necessarily mean it will work similarly.
i beleive the inside diameter of the 2 shock bodies "doesnt" allow the interchanging of springs...
i dont know this for certain thou...

Maybe call a company like PUSH Industries or something? They work on both shocks, so they could give you an honest answer.

Whats the point?
maybe he found a good deal on a spring from a different manufacture?
lots of different reasons

Even if the length and spring rate is the same it might not work. It comes down to the diameter of the coil on each manufacturer. I wouldn't try it because even if it does "fit" you may end up stressing the spring collars to failure.

NO! I tried it, and unfortunately know the answer for you. The fox coil is a slightly smaller I.D.
dang. Guess you can go wrong with a $75 Ti spring.

Thats where I bought the spring and it does not fit! You are in Kamloops, go into the CAFE and try to fit it if you like on your DHX (thats where it is). Its a 450x3.0 Ti spring and you can have it for $180. I bought it, it did not fit, and they are trying to sell it for me (at far less than I paid).
If you go to the Renton website, they state their springs do not fit, yet go-ride is marketing them that they do??
a 5th Ti 400x3 fits with some pop can shims so it doesn't shift side to side so I assume you could do the same with the manitou.
I'm currently running a ti RCS spring on my DHX 5.0 and it is coming off a swinger 4-way. Fits perfect on the DHX.

i have a steel manitou coil on a DHX if that helps in any way. Probably not
yeah that helps, Maybe the ti will fit then. should be the same size. doesn't rosco have one on his 4 way?
