Ever since i bought my 2006 p.3 i've had a creak in my crank/bb/pedal area. Iv already gone through 3 BBs from my LBS and the creak hasn't gone away. Its sounds like its coming from the pedals ( they've bin packed with grease and properly tightened). I thoguh maybe i got a pair of defective pedals until my brand new demo 8 started creaking with every pedal stroke. This has never happened to any of my bikes before. Does anyone else have a problem with the 06 specialised low pro mag pedals??? or can offer me any help or ideas of what the problem may be and how i can fix it.

I think a number of people have had problems with those pedals. I've never taken a set apart but as I understand it they're quite thin and the spindle is pretty burly so there isn't much space left for bearings. As a result the bearings are thin and weak, so they creak and wear out quick. If the pedals on the Demo are still new see if your LBS can swap them for something else.
You might be able to send them into Specialized and get a set that doesn't creak right away, but I think it's going to be an ongoing problem.
If you decide to pick up new pedals for the hardtail, I'm really liking my Odessy Jim Cs. I would recommend something more aggressive for the Demo though.

Ah yes, the fabled Specialized Mag Lo-pros. THey are an excellent felling pedal, but I had the same problem. I took them apart regreased them, but they still creaked. Take them to where you got them from and maybe you can get different ones. Mine came on my 05' P3. I talked to Specialized and they told me to bring them to a specialized dealer or th lbs where I got the bike and have them look at the pedals and make the call. I am pretty sure this common issue with those pedals. I never brought the pedals in, I just regrease them often and it somewhat remedies the problem. If Specialized could get those pedals right they would be the best pedal ever made. Hope I helped somewhat.

Scrap them!!! I rode those pedals for a few months until one day they almost killed me, cause my foot slipped going into a step up! Try finding replacement pins for them! Again, I know why the company is called "Specialized" because nothing off the shelf ever fits (thats not saying I don't love the bikes, just frustrated with how stock parts never seem to fit their bikes).

I dont know if they would do that because Matt bought his Fuse from them, he used his grip shift for 2 days and he wanted to exchange them for a trigger shifter and they wouldn't do that. Well, they might so it doesn't hurt to try.
