So Ive had my 2003 AC2 for almost a couple of years now and the BB is slacker than a $10 hooker after a busy friday night.

My questions are; can I just keep riding it until it goes completely AWOL and are there any downsides to this.

Why dont they have grease nipples on these things to make them last longer?

Is there something I should be doing to make the BB last longer? I only ride 1-2 a week so I'm not particularly hard on the bike.

Is washing the bike after every ride a bad thing, as far as bearings go. I have already replaced the head bearings (I try not to direct high pressure spray at any bearings or seals.

Change it out. It will pedal smoother. Depending on what type of BB you replace it with you can service the bearings a couple of times per year by cleaining them and re-greasing.

Can you do that on a Truvativ Gigapipe? I have one and it's got a small amount of wiggle to it. Just wondering if I can lengthen the life expectancy out of this thing...then I will try and run a Howitzer BB with my normal ISIS Race Face cranks....
