Okay so I have the choice of selling my Holzfellers for a fairly decent price, enough to get a set of FSA Gaps...so now I'm wondering, should I do it? The Holzfellers I have are 2005 so they don't have an External BB...
The FSA Gaps do...so, should I do this?

depends.

Holzfellers are good cranks. Do you have a history of cranks that had to be written off? In what way were they dammaged? Cranks these days are all over the board in what part of the design is overbuilt or underbuilt. or for that matter- engineered at all.

I just got FSA Gaps and I love them to death. I actually hated my previous FSA cranks on my DJ bike, but when I got my ASX, I got a great deal on the Gaps and with a ton of recommendations from a mechanic I trust, I said what the hell and got em. They have treated me fantastically so far, shifting still isn't like Shimano, but it is still great and much better than last years cranks. Gaps all the way, a great upgrade.

if shifting is an issue you can always get new rings. i recomend extralite or raceface.
the other thing is that FSA has a bit of a habit of not catching all the out of tolerance stuff before it goes out the door, so some people get stuff that isn't quite perfect.

I love mine, thier external bb is really good. There super easy to take off the bike and also really stiff.

Well the reason I want to buy these cranks is because I'd like to have the external bearings (heard good things about these) and I can get it relativly cheap so...why not?

And the dudes above who own these cranks, do you have any pics of them? 'Cause I've seen around 3 different pics of the cranks and still don't know what they really look like

Ok, they look like the latest pic I've seen, though the pic on the actual FSA site is different...anyone else with FSA Gaps that would like to post their crank?
