I'm going to build up a new rear wheel. I was thinking two of my best options are the atomlab aircorp hub or the shimano saint hub. Does anyone have any experience with the atomlab hub? If so how does it compare? How loud is it?

Well a friend of mine has the Aircorp hub, and I can tell you it is VERY loud, I'm getting the Saint hub in next week so then I'll really be able to compare it, but so far the Aircorp seems like a really good hub, the only downside is that it's 12mm and you have to convert it to 10 with some lameass converter kit which is like 30 bucks and exists out of 2 bolts..

New Atom Labs only, they have models from a year or so ago on Ebay and perhaps other places, and unless you like hubs that come apart don't get the older ones.

I've got one of the new ones, 12x150 it works really well so far. No problems, pretty light, lost of engagement.

you mean if you're putting it on a 135x10mm frame? Or are you talking about a stepped down axle from 150x12 to 150x10 so that you can run a 10mm Saint derailleur?

he's talking about atomlab's conversion kit from 12 to 10 mm. It cost like 35 bucks

No offence to beyond bikes or atom lab.
Click the hub for a large image.
Got it of ebay, and it got off my bike, pronto and in pieces, the pic you posted is the new one (with new internals.)

Yeah, I have eaten too many frehubs (around 8 in 2 past 2 years of riding) and now ride a king...its pure sex....if you keep your eyes open you can get a good deal. Got my king laced up to a mavic xm321 for $300....lightly used...(not one scratch)...so I am stoked. :)

That hub looks good, I had the Saint hub and it is very strong but you can only put Saint derailleurs on it and only saint rotors.

Thought I'd bump this since no one really answered this question:
so could I use this to convert it?

I can't see why not, looks about the same as the atomlab one.
