Okay simple question.

Can Saint centerlock hubs with Saint" rotors be used sucessfully with Hayes mag brakes??

Please don't ask why I just would like to know if this would not work.

Anyone try this?

yes. they are both 203mm and the same thickness. The other way around works too, Hayes rotors with Shimano brakes..

I dont' think so, they're the same outer diameter, but not the same inner diameter.

yeah, I think Shimano's have a larger ID, ie. thinner braking surface radially, but they should work fine. I've used hayes Rotors with my Shimanos for over a year, Sun Peaks, Cypress, etc etc.. with no problems.

if the band of the rotor is indeed narrower then only half (guess-timate) of the pads are being used to stop. it's bad enough using a hayes to stop a bike :D now u wanna use less contact area from the rotor. it may work but somehow i'm not all for it.

the Saint pad is alot thicker then teh old style Xt's...

you'll be fine...

the Saint rotor (which looks amazing by the way) should work with your Hayes calipers no problem.
