Mid-grade parts. Jr T's. Decent shape. Would asking 1500 for it be too much? I' need money to travel, and to climb. I really don't want to sell my bike but I just bought a camera, and am moving out soon. Selling my bike would cover the camera, or plane ticket depending on how I want to look at it. ACCEPT, I know if I sell it, I'll probably never own a bike again....

Probably much less up here in BC than in the Yucatan! If you can even find a buyer.

Is there much mountain biking going on down there?

I can see the email now... Hey, buddy, wanna buy a bike from Ebay? It's in Mexico, but I promise to ship it to you...

Good luck!

Depends on the condition and the market in your neck of the woods.

There's a $1400 2001 Super-8 for sale if that gives you an idea.

PS - don't do it! Keep the bike and keep riding!

Live to ride and ride to live.

what he said...

if your not going to get uch for it, like not even the cost of a plane ticket then think of all the times youve spent on the bike and just ;leave it with a fiend or relative... so youve got something to come to... youll kick yourself for selling it and a newone woube worth alot more than yours is for when you start looking around at new ones

Oops...I just realized I never changed my location profile.

I havn't lived in Mexico since June. I live in Powell River now, and moving to Squamish in mid July.

The thing is...I don't ride any more. The riding is great here, but impossible unless you have a couple guys to go with and two trucks to shuttle. In Squamish, I'll be climbing...probably would get out on the bike once or twice but wouldn't even push hard incase I got injured. Would 1200 be a decent asking price (Selling it in BC, west Coast. Van/whistler/sunshinecoast area)

Well I sold my brother's 2001 Bullit for $1500 about 2 years ago and it was a pretty high level spec (all XT, 321's, Boxxer etc. and in immaculate condition)

I doubt you'd get $1000 for it, especially right now. It might be better in the summer.

Damn. Yeah I couldn't let it go for any less than a grand or it wouldn't be worth it. Maybe I'll just put it up for sale and see how it goes. If it was meant to happen it'll happen.

Is that a question or a statement refering to selling it for parts?

my buddy just sold an 01-ish Bullit w Jr T's (non 20mm), hayes hydros, RF atlas stuff, and a xt drivetrain for $1400. And he sold it fairly quick even in the winter (here in Van). If your's has solid parts and it can be cleaned up real purty, then you could probably get $1200-1500.

Honestly I think you would be lucky to get a grand for it. There are great deals to be had for bikes that are newer than 2001 all over the place. The sad thing is that a FR bike that's only 5 years old is considered an "old" bike. The resale value of bikes is terrible; especialy here on the Shore where the market is flooded with them. I saw a used 2004 devo with killer components including a brand new E-Thirteen guide going for $1800 in a LBS recently as well as a brand new 2004 Big Hit for $2300.

Maybe ill go down to the states, get some yankee bucks for it, and sell it to a kid with rich parents that don't understand the market value of an old bike. It's all about having a business attitude.

Movin to Squamish? I'd keep it, Alot of the climbers ride, and vice versa. Very heavy riding culture up there, accessable trails and tons of folk to ride, shuttle with. Or maybe swap for a hardtail plus cash.
