Yes. Although i would rather run a SRAM due to the bigger cage. I've got one here if you need one.

I don't think it will work. You need SRAM shifters designed for 2:1. Rocket or Attack.

Yep, you're ok with SRAM triggers and an XT derailleur on the front. I run the same setup.
