I need a front 20mm wheel and have found some good deals built on Quando hubs (Bikeroom $80 on Singletrack). Haven't bought a wheel in ages cause my old 321's won't die, so am a bit out of the loop when it comes to some of the new names/products. Any searches I did ended up with pretty much the same opinion of these hubs - they don't even deserve to take up space in your trash can. Reviews seemed to be a bit outdated though. Anyone have any experience with them? Have they gotten better? Would assume if they're still being used on quality builds that they can't be as bad as the reveiws say...

Well I have no idea on their new 20mm hub, but as you noticed they have a reputation for being the worst hubs money can buy.

If you shop around you should be able to find a single track on a formula 20mm hub for $100, that's what I would do. The formula on the front of my hardtail is nearly 3 years old and still on the original bearings. I've never opened it up and it's outlasted a frame, and 2 forks so I'm pretty impressed.

I've been running a 20mm in the front on my Balfa with Flick plus. Mines been smooth, had no complaints about it. Gets the job done nicely.

Hard to screw up a front hub - just two bearings and a shell.

I've got one and so far haven't had a problem. Likely as good as a formula.
