Anybody else from here race in Fort Langley yesterday? Pretty big groups. Almost a hundred riders in the C category.

My buddy rides for Escape Velocity... The first race of the year usually is pretty big.

Did you race? How did you do? And what Cat, are you? 5,4,3....

I raced in the C category. Did alright considering I was just out for the ride. Missed the start though and had to hop onto the back after the first lap. That got the heart pumping pretty quick. Got caught behind a crash near the end so I just let the pack ride away.

I think they're going to be changing it up for next week. Seems like there was a group of guys that normally race in a higher category were driving the pace pretty hard at the front (like putting in lap times close to Cat A) to stay out of the middle of the pack were there was some sketchiness
happening but I think that made it worse as people that weren't use that pace were having a hard time and getting squirlley. For alot of the people it was there first race and were dropped pretty quick.

Other than that it was pretty good. Will probably do the one this Saturday. It's good training just to go out and ride at higher tempo.

Nice work!!! Sucks that you missed the start.

My bud raced the B class. He stayed neer the front for the whole race till the end.

The people that where sandbaggin it in class C when they should have been in B have been notified. Cus they don't want to scare away people on their 1st race of the "season".

Are you gonna be there this Sunday, cus I'll be there spectating. Oh also do you know anyone with a 60-62cm bike they want to sell. 105 stuff and higher.

probably just Saturday. I have an allergic reaction to hills.

check the cycling bc buy and sell. there's usually a good selection of larger pics there. I know some of the guys from the Rocky-Adobe team just switched to Masi bikes and put are selling or are going to be selling there Rocky's. A few of them are pretty tall.

I was there on Saturday too, and it was frickin sketchy in the C pack. That wipe out at the end happened right in front of me, but i managed to put my dh skills to good use, and did some major dodging of flying limbs and Coastal jerseys! Too bad about all the sketch factors, but it was pretty cool to start with 100 other people. i had a blast, and hung on to the top group, so i was stoked...i think that the hills on Sunday will be the real test tho! Those skinny boys in lycra are FAST.
