yah on my bmx i hucked a gnar 3000 (÷1000) foot drop to flat not expecting it to be that stiff on landing, annnddd, yah. hurted. mountain bikers have it easy.

that's pretty big to flat, but bigger things have been done and people have survived.

*edit*

I'm not taking away from the drop, it's insane that anyone will attempt that. I'm just saying bigger things have been done, that's all.

and here's another angle of the one you posted. gnarly.

David, look at how far away he is from where he took off, he had to go 239023902390239023km/h, and the gap isn't over the rail, it's past the curb.

Axl, it's not from any video I don't think, it's pretty recent. But I assume they are saving it for the peg leg video.

In this one there seems to be a bit of a "transition" past the line beside the parked cars, towards the ride-bmx tag. You can even see the water on the hill running down. i would expect that is what he was aiming for, so not totally flat, but still a wrist breaker, is he wearing a helmet??

Yeah, he was aiming for the bank that the cars are parked on. And no hes not wearing a helmet. Don't worry Jimmy Levans head is stronger than any helmet.

Personally, I don't enjoy wrist breaking drops to flat, but to each his own. If you like crazy parts I suggest Van Holmens Part in Little Devil. Rubens part in forward, and pretty much the zillion other crazy good parts that blow away everything you had once knew as physics.
