Just read this article. I realised it was published ages ago I'm guessing, but I didn't do much checking here at NSMB for 5 or 6 months.
Anyways, I thought it was a great article...theres probably already been a post like this but thanks Riley, for a great article like that!

the drawings were also stellar!

Riley also had an article in Kootenay Mountain Culture; one of the first magazines I picked up when I moved to Nelson. Same artist as well, it got me really stoked on the riding up there for sure. Looking forward to another article here on NSMB soon!

Trailworker, do you live in Nelson right now, or are you on the Sunshine Coast?

Drunken Duncan, have I ridden with you on Prevost? There arenīt that many people you could be since itīs always the same dudes riding up there.

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate it. I canīt wait to get back to Prevost soon to ride, for sure in march sometime....

take care eh!

I'm back on the sunshine coast temporarily, but I'm quite certain I'll be moving back to the kootenays in early may. Ya don't realise how nice it is until you move away. just gotta line up some forestry work up there and I'll be stoked, if not then whatever I find for work'll be good I guess.

hahaha yeah. nice riding, nice mountains but my life has changed since I moved from the coast almost 2 years ago. Life used to be based around only the mountains and only the riding...now I need at least a little more going on, you know? At least in the kootenays I know what to expect...and for the summer at least I need to do something other than just work, and just ride. Need to be able to cut loose and say fuckitimout and just have a good time.

It's a strange phenomena...like alot of people say "I moved back to the small town I grew up in and it just ain't the same".
that much is true of the coast. Good place when I was growing up, good place to retire but DEADLY for someone my age. No new blood, nothing seems to have changed since I left, same people doing the same shit.

yea i hear you..for me i may one day move back there too. but for now Im content to keep riding the baddest trails on the planet and watch my prop values climb..

yeh for sure...I'm young, need to get out before I get old and have to go back to school or something terrible like that hahahaha.

seriously if I had more than just the trails tying me to gibsons I'd probably stay and enjoy it, but I don't. Surveying work fell through, every other type of work fell through and then I gotta ask myself even if I had one of those jobs how happy would I be staying on the coast for 6 months or even a year? Probably not very happy. Money can only take you so far, then ya gotta say fuckit and just have fun. I'd hate to be tied down somewhere I didn't want to live because of a job, no matter what the job...my happiness isn't worth cash no matter what the bloody economists say.

Riley has a piece in this month's bike as well. He deserves it for sure and it's a great riff on a particular ride.

Nice work Riley!

Yep, up on prevost, I was riding a 2004 4by, and was talking to Chris H for a while at the parking lot.
