outdoor show...what the heck

i know that there have been a lot of posts on the vancity outdoor show already but this one most likely covers a new issue...many ppl who went to the show this year thought it was pretty lame...including myself...i find it rediculous why big name companies such as cannondale, trek, giant, manitou, raceface, specialized, santa cruz, banshee, kona, etc....why are these companies not coming to the mecca of mountain biking to show off there new products....they are leaving it to the little companies to sell the products for them instead of them going and doing it themselves....why do u think shops like on top and bsp and dizzies werent there this year..it costs quite a bit for a booth there and these shops dont have the money to throw down every year to do so....for anyone who didnt go to the show, there was a new balance booth selling shoes there(in the mtb section) that had the biggest booth in the whole show...why cant a company like kona come and fill that space...this is fricken the north shore...ppl all over the world want to come and ride here yet all the local companies wont even go down the street to show off some product...something needs to be done about this in order to keep the mtb section of the outdoor show going....i talked with the cox brothers who run the outdoor show and they are even wondering why and what can be done....something needs to happen...theres my two cents and if someone has sumthing to add then go for it...

If you're going to take the time to write up 1/2 page of complaints on a bulletin board, why not write it in an e-mail and send it to these companies. That will increase the probability of your complaints doing any good by about a bazillion percent.
