Hey

so... e.13 makes some nice bashguards andchainguides and all that stuff, I guess we all know that. However, I have a question about their LG-1 and their SRS.

Isnīt the SRS basically the LG-1 chainguide with the additional bashguard? Iīve read somewhere that you are actually able to remove that bashguard from the SRS. Theyīre both the same price, about 125$.

Am I right that the SRS is a LG1 + removable bashguard? Thatīs what Iīve read and it doesnīt make sense to me... If it were like that nobody would buy the LG1 but everybody would buy the SRS and if neccessary remove the bashguard.

Does anybody understand what I mean? Sorry about the broken english... Anyways, explain it to me, please!!!

I think the LG-1 is for racing, it's lighter and you don't need the bash guard. If you want a bash guard, get the SRS because you cannot put a bash guard on the LG-1.

Thatīs exactly what Iīm wondering about. You canīt put a bash guard on the LG1 but you can remove the bashguard from the SRS so that you have a LG1.

That simply doesnīt make sense to me, thatīs why Iīm asking. I donīt know where Iīve read that, maybe I just dreamed about it (I have some weird dreams).

@ Chief: Ok, now that makes sense... I think I know what you mean.

Anyway, would be nice to have an adjustable SRS bashguard, meaning if you want to, you can just remove the bashguard and you have a LG1 (for race to save weight) and if you need the additional bashguard you just put it on again.

The LG1 has an extra piece that cups around your chain ring that would get in the way of the bash but I'm pretty sure it can be taken off or modified to make an SRS:

Sometimes Jonas posts up here. He could explain it better.

The upper guide is what makes the LG1 different, other than the lack of a bash guard. You can buy that peece separately if you wanted to convert a SRS into an LG1.

Which piece can you buy seperately to convert the SRS to the LG1? The upper guide? Do you know how much it costs?

That would be perfect for my upcoming trail/4x bike. Put it on for riding in the park and riding trails and then taking the bash off for saving weight for the 4x races.

It would be really nice if thereīs some sort of that "conversion" available. And even if not... There are barely no differences. If you are experienced with drilling etc. you could propably cut out the upper part of the LG1 and attach a bashguard...

MSRP for the entire parts tree for the LG1 is $79.00 CDN. That includes everthing but the aluminum boomerang.

Not true. The lower idler pulley is different, on the LG1 it is not curved to fit to the bashguard.

Just get an SRS and run the bash... the weight difference isn't that huge anyhow.

I know.
