Hey Everybody!

I just moved to Vancouver (WestEnd), and am looking to get into the riding scene. I haven't touched my bike since September, so I'm gonna be a little rusty :( If anyone is going out on the Shore I'd love to join in, and try to get to know the trails. I could use a few buddies to ride with too :)

Thanks
James

Hi schoenrock
Saturday bright and early at noon? :)
(or did you mean sunday?)

Is Seymour the same as Fromme? I have a lovely VW Westfalia that will love to shuttle us around if the need arises (it can only carry 2 or 3 bikes reasonably though). I have no idea what the differences between Seymour and Cypress are... so your pick!

Make sure to empty our your van before shuttling on Seymour. Break-ins happen frequently.

Visit one of the LBS on the shore and get the maps of the trails. That way you have something to reference with what is talked about. Plus you can take it with you if you ride by yourself.

Hey! I'm new to Vancouver too. I'm moving just south of the west end and attending vancouver film school.

What days do you have off for riding? I have all next week off, so if you're down to go explore Fromme or Seymour, I would be more than happy to go.

I don't have much experience on North shore, so we're in the same boat. The trail I tried on Fromme to break my North Shore cherry was the lower crippler. I made it out alive and uncrippled, but I think I need to try something easier than black diamond to get my skills back to par.

I'm also down with weekends. My car holds a lot, so transportation wouldn't be a problem as long a you trow some change down on gas.
