Here are some shots of Steve Peat's '06 V10...nice ride. (ORIGINALLY SEEN ON PINK BIKE (http://www.pinkbike.com))
Do you notice he is riding Kenda tires (Syndicate is Kenda sponsored for '06)
http://photos.nsmb.com/files/2/1/7/2/4/sideb.jpg
Do you notice he is no longer sporting HOPE brakes....mmmm CARBON
http://photos.nsmb.com/files/2/1/7/2/4/barsb.jpg
Do you notice the tape over the Holzfeller logo on the cranks (he is sponsored by Race Face for bars, stem, seat-post and CRANKS). DT Swiss Hubs I believe as well. I thought he would stick with a 5th Element on the rear though. DHX...ti spring. Carbon Chain Guide

That is so hawwwt, one thing isn't steve being sponsored by red raven industries for larger disc rotors, thats fine however i think on the site it says they are only compatible with hope brakes (i may be wrong) so what the hells going on and similair goes to the cranks why not raceface?

i dont care what buisness u are in, as soon as you post a pic on pinkbike it surrenders all your photo rights to them, same gos for most photo host sites. and im guessing you work for pb, which doesnt change much. no photo credit is neccesary.. and now you can carry on

Better to wreck the bash guard than the tweak the crak arm. Many pro's have had issues with the latest crop of super tough bash gurad's, problems like treaked chainring arms, bent spindles, and wrecked right side arms. I think that thats why racers have not been running any guard rings, or going to lighter rings.

we have a bike here that has that problem. the chainring is super wobbly now thanks to the bash not doing its job :)

I'm going to be running the E13 LG1 - no bash guard. I rarely use a bash guard nd when I do the impacts are fairly small.

You've got to be kidding, Luc.
Do you know how many times my pics have ended up on BBs on other sites??? I've lost count.
And there has been at least one occasion that I know of for sure when one of Cam's photos from Red Bull has appeared in the PB Photo of the Day. We didn't make a stink about that. Hell, we didn't even say anything to you guys in spite of the fact that the pic was clearly poached from one of our articles.
I can see if we'd used the photos - which you didn't even take - in an article, but they're posted on a BB. If you've got a serious problem with this, talk to Cam or I directly rather than posting it on our boards.

I Acadians defence, I kinda butchered the pictures. I cropped out the PinkBike watermark and posted them. I made no refrence that I took the shots but made no effort initially to say where the pictures came from.
Acadian politley asked me to give credit where credit is due and I did.
Again, I am sorry for causing this disturbance in the force. Feel free to NUKE the thread if needed.
Later.
I'm a little confused with all this "copyright" thing. Now the same pics appear on a uk based web site.

Damn Stuart - I think you're taking this a bit too seriously! Guess I should of added a smiley to my original post. Just so you know I replied to one of Dean (Thedude) PM's and told him it was no big deal...but then all of a sudden some got defensive and jumped me..
This is one of the main reasons I've been trying to stay off all these MTB forums as of late - no matter how you phrase something, if you’re not a regular, there will always be someone that will take offense. Especially if you’re from ‘another’ site – it’s almost like you’re an outsider or something? It’s also hard to judge one’s intention via e-mail/posts.
I’m just a software engineer that HELPS out Pinkbike – all pro bono and on my own free time (or little that I have) for the love of the sport. I’m no journalist – just a Canadian abroad that loves to ride bikes. So honestly I really couldn’t give a rat’s ass about who uses what pics and where they came from.
But I once used a pic for a press release (that was actually sent to us by a third party), which I assumed was theirs. But it was someone else’s – and they had used it without his consent. That caused a big stint and could have gotten ugly.
Guess I'll just go back to my lurkin mode...
ciao..

Can anybody explain to me why he has to put duct tape over his Holzfeller cranks? Yeah I know that it´s some sponsoring issue and that Race Face doesn´t want him to show the Truvativ logo. But why the hell do they act like that? In my opinion that´s simply ridiculous and I can´t see why RF acts the way they do. Any explanations therefore?

Perhaps I'm displaying my ignorance of bike mechanics, or maybe bike politics, but... If he's sponsored by Race Face with an agreement to use their cranks, why isn't he using their cranks? Is there a compatibility issue with the frame?

Actually everything was from here (http://www.descent-world.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=130&task=view&id=246) - on descent-world.co.uk and since Simon is a friend of mine - maybe not a "good friend" like he is with Acadian ;) but a friend nonetheless - I can pretty much assure you that he wouldn't be busting a nut about this.
I am also sure he is the one who should get the credit - and also the one who would let us know if he has a problem someone on a public internet bulletin board posting the info and shots. He has my email address.

Maybe the bikes new and steve hasnt transfered his stuff on to it seeing as syndicate is Truviant and raceface is his sponsor. Plus wasnt his mrs racing on it so maybe he got a few racefaces for friends/family, one of the peatites was also riding a V10, with the syndicate kit but the Peat bike will be peat sponsor clad.
Just my ideas
