So a while back there was a thread here about big freeride shoes, and I mentioned something about FiveTens being made in sizes 14 and 15.
Well, I heard from the guys at FiveTen and due to other production commitments and prohibitive costs, they're shelving the oversized Impacts for the foreseeable future.
Too bad, because I've heard good things about these shoes.

That is really too bad.
They are one of the biggest "rider" upgrades for the money. The grip is staggering, slipped pedals are a thing of the past, and you get a lot of the perks of SPD's without having to be clipped in.
Mine are still going strong and looking relatively new after a good year of thrashing.

I'm normally a 14 in walking/skate shoes, but the five10s fit me fine (I think they're 13).
Might be worth checking out, unless you're 15+ in which case you shouldn't leave the house for fear of helicopter blades, telephone lines, and low flying planes.

They're also pretty good for stepping on little people. :P

Cool info to have. I'm a 14 in most shoes, but a 15 in Vans. Go figure.
They're also a threat to anyone walking in front of me. Long strides + big feet = lots of shoes stepped on.
One benefit of having such big feet is that no matter how fat I get in later life, I'll still be able to say that I can see my feet. :D

Isn't 13 in North American sizing like a 14 1/2 in UK sizes?

no, uk sizing is in the 40's or 50's, US sizing is the one that is slightly larger

Its the otherway round a 13 in england is a fourteen in America i think but then we are getting the european sizes coming in and its pretty confusing.

Why is the UK always the odd man out when it comes to measurements?
Shillings, stones, now multiple shoes sizes? No wonder you talk so funny :D

Sad news, indeed. The 13's, though a large 13, are just a touch too small for me. Sigh...

Big feet are also great for crushing dwarves :)
